The main app section is the “Contacts” page. This page is loaded with over 55 toll free numbers or website addresses. Each contact offers a free baby or mommy sample, deal or coupon. Simply click the contact number to dial with your iPhone. When you are done contacting, the record becomes highlighted in gray to indicate that you have already contacted and you can move on to the next record!

This is a community driven app. Over the coming weeks we will roll out updates with additional free offers and we will remove phone numbers that no longer work.  Our goal is to grow this list to over 100 free baby samples for our next release.

LRG MERGE WordPress Build

I recently completed work on a new WordPress Build for LRG’s new blog. The client provided a nice clean design, and I sliced and styled it into a WordPress theme. The sidebar is made up of widgets, and the client can easily manage all of the content via the WordPress admin.

4wardFast.com WordPress Build

I had a great time working with 4wardfast.com (a healthcare consulting firm). I came up with multiple design mockups for the client. In the end I created the design, configured the setup, plugins and hosting running WordPress.

Back in the day at Netconcepts I project managed the website build for GrowingTreeToys.com. They sell educational toys and games.  Although no longer a client of mine at Netconcepts I have done some work with GTT most recently on their new blog. I designed the blog and built it on the WordPress platform.  I’m pleased with the design- and they have some excellent content… toy reviews, classic toys,  videos and more. Check it out- blog.growingtreetoys.com

Recipe: Steak Recipe: Teriyaki Flank Steak With Green Onions

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated or minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 flank steak (about 1 1/2 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 12 green onions, cut into 1-inch lengths
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted

Instructions

  1. Whisk soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, ginger, pepper flakes, and cornstarch in medium bowl. (Or use a handheld blender to blend.)
  2. Pat steak dry with paper towels. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until just smoking. Cook steak until well browned and cooked to desired doneness, 4 to 6 minutes per side. Transfer to cutting board and tent with foil.
  3. Add remaining oil and green onions to empty skillet and cook until lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes; transfer to bowl. Stir soy sauce mixture and any accumulated beef juices into skillet and simmer, scraping up any browned bits, until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Slice beef thin on bias against grain. Transfer to bowl (or serving platter) and toss with sauce, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve with rice.

Note: To toast sesame seeds, cook them in a dry skillet over medium heat, stirring often, until golden and fragrant, about 5 minutes
